3/4 c butter 2 tb vanilla
3/4 c honey 1 c poppy seeds
2 1/2 c flour 4 ea egg whites, beaten
2 ts baking powder 1 ds salt (optional)
1 c milk
Cream together butter and honey. Add flour and baking powder, alternating
with milk. Add vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes. Add poppy seeds and fold in
egg whites. Pour into oiled 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans. Bake at 350
degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool before slicing. Makes 2 loaf-sized
cakes.
