1 Or 2 tart apples, peeled,
-cored, thickly sliced, and
-sprinkled with lemon juice
3/4 c Plus 2 Tb. sugar
1 ts Cinnamon
12 ts Butter, melted (1 1/2
-sticks)
1 c Flour, sifted
1 Egg, slightly beaten
Arrange apples in buttered 9″ pie plate. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon
sugar and cinnamon.
Pour melted butter in medium bowl. Add 3/4 cup sugar, flour, and egg.
Stir until smooth. Spread batter evenly over apples. Sprinkle with 1
tablespoon sugar.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, until pale golden brown.
