1 lb Butter — softened
2 Eggs
2 tb Molasses
2 ts Vanilla extract
1/3 c Water
1 1/2 c Granulated sugar
1 1/2 c Packed brown sugar
1 ts Baking powder
1 1/2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
5 c All-purpose flour
6 oz Semi sweet chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 375. Cream the butter, eggs,
molasses, vanilla and water in a medium bowl. In a
large bowl sift together the sugars, baking powder,
baking soda, salt and flour. Combine the mois moist
mixture with the dry mixture add the chocolate chips.
Shape the dough into 1 inch balls andplace them 1 inch
apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes
or until light brown around edges.
