Graham’s Oatmeal Cookies

Ingrients & Directions


1 c Margarine 2 ts B. powder
2 c Brown sugar packed 3/4 ts Baking soda
2 Eggs 1 ts Salt – scant
1 tb Water 1 1/2 c Oatmeal
1 1/2 ts Grated orange rind 6 oz Package chocolate chips
2 c Flour 1 c Raisins

-METHOD-

Cream margarine & sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add water &
orange rind. Sift dry ingred. and add to creamed mixture and blend
well. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and raisins.

Drop by tablespoon. Bake for 10 minutes in 375 oven. Allow to cool
for 3 minutes before taking off cookie sheet. Note: Push down with
the tines of a fork, first one way, then another. It shapes the
cookies nicely.
