4 OR 5 slices dry bread
2 Apples
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs
2 c Milk
1 ts Vanilla
1/4 ts Salt
Break the bread in small pieces and layer it with apples. Beat 2
eggs and add sugar,milk, vanilla, and salt. Pour this mixture over
apples and bread. Sprinkle top with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at
325? for 1 hour.
Serve hot with wine sauce (see recipe) or cold with cream.
