A favorite childhood gingerbread treat: Make your favorite recipe of
gingerbread that fits into an 8x8x2 inch baking pan. Melt 2 T. butter in
the pan. Add 1/2 C. light molasses and 1/4 C. raisins. Heat above
ingredients. Arrange 2 sliced apples in the molasses mixture in the bottom
of the pan. Pour gingerbread batter over and bake at 350 degrees for 50
minutes.

To serve: While hot, cut into squares and flip servings upside down onto
individual dessert plates. Offer whipped cream flavored with a small
amount of powdered ginger or nutmeg, or ice cream as an embellishment.
