3/4 c Sugar
1 1/2 c Self rising flour
6 tb Butter
1 Egg
1/2 c Buttermilk
1 ts Vanilla extract
12 oz Apple pie filling
1/4 c Flour
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix together 1/2 cup sugar and flour. Cut 4 tablespoons butter into
dry ingredients until crumbly. Mix together buttermilk and vanilla.
Add buttermilk to flour mixture. Mix well. Spread 1/2 batter into
greased 8 x 8 baking dish. Spread apple filling over batter. Dot with
remaining batter. Combine remaining 1/4 cup sugar and the 1/4 cup
flour. Cut in remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Sprinkle over batter.
Bake about 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
If microwaved, approximately 10-12 minutes.
