Cristina’s Coffee Cake

Ingrients & Directions


1 c Unsalted butter – softened
2 c Sugar
2 ts Vanilla
3 c All-purpose flour
4 Eggs
2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
2 c Sour cream
2 tb Cinnamon
1/2 c Chopped walnuts or pecans
3/4 c Sugar

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, cream
together the butter and sugar until fluffy with an electric mixer.
Add the vanilla and the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each
addition. Combine together in a separate bowl, the flour, baking
powder, baking soda and salt. Add the flour mixture and the sour
cream, alternately with the butter mixture. Combine well. Spoon 1/3
of the batter into a well greased tube pan. In a small bowl combine
the cinnamon, nuts and 3/4 cup sugar. Sprinkle 1/3 of the nut mixture
over the batter in the pan. Repeat layers two more times, ending with
nuts on top. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, until a toothpick comes
out clean. Cool and serve.
