1 1/2 c Bisquick original baking mix
1/3 c Sugar
1/3 c Milk or water
2 tb Shortening
1 ts Vanilla
1 Egg
1 pk Betty Crocker fluffy white
-frosting mix
Toppings (see instructions)
HEAT oven to 375 degrees. Grease and flour medium muffin cups, 2-1/2×1-1/4
inches, or line with paper baking cups.
BEAT all ingredients except frosting mix in large bowl on low speed 30
seconds, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on medium speed 4 minutes,
scraping bowl occasionally. Fill muffin cups about one-third full.
BAKE about 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out
clean. Immediately remove from pan; cool completely. Prepare frosting mix
as directed on package. Frost and decorate cupcakes as directed below. 16
cupcakes.
Black Cat: For each cupcake, you will need 1 square chocolate wafer thin
mint, small pieces black shoestring licorice, 3 small jelly beans, 1 small
gumdrop. Stir small amount of cocoa into frosting until desired color.
Frost cupcake with frosting. Cut mint diagonally intn fourths; place 2
pieces on cupcake for ears. (Reserve remaining pieces for another cat.) Use
jelly beans for eyes and nose; use licorice for whiskers. Cut gumdrop to
use for mouth.
Ghost: For each cupcake, you will need 2 large marshmallows, 2 minia- ture
marshmallows, 2 semisweet chocolate chips. To make ghost, cut 1 large
marshmallow in half; attach cut marshmallow to whole marshmallow with small
amount of frosting. (Reserve remaining marshmallow half for another
ghost.) For eyes, press chocolate chips into marshmallow head. For hands,
make 4 small cuts in each miniature marshmallow to form fingers; flatten
slightly. Attach marshmallow hands to ghost with frosting. Frost cupcake;
place ghost on top. Frost top and bottom of ghost.
Gravestone: For each cupcake, you will need 1 oval cookie, black
shoe-string licorice, 1 smallgumdrop. Frost cupcake; sprinkle with cocoa.
Decorate cookie to resemble gravestone; press into cupcake. Make flower
using licorice and cut gumdrop.
