2 c Quick Bread Mix
1/4 c Sugar
3/4 c Milk
1 Egg — beaten
2 tb Shortening
2 tb Molasses
1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
1/2 ts Ground nutmeg
1/4 ts Ground cloves
1/4 c Brown sugar — firmly

2 tb Quick Bread Mix
1/4 ts Ground cinnamon
1 tb Butter OR margarine
Combine quick bread mix and sugar in mixing bowl; add milk, egg, and
shortening, and beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until
smooth. Remove 1 cup batter; combine with molassas, 1/2 teaspoon of
cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Place spoonfuls of plain batter into a
greased 8-inch square baking pan in a checkerboard pattern. Spoon
spiced batter in spaces around plain batter, gently swirl with a
knife. Combine brown sugar, 2 Tablespoons Quick Bread Mix, and 1/4
teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry
blender until mixture resembles coars meal. Sprinkle mixture over
batter. Bake at 375 F. for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve warm.
