Molasses Cake

Ingrients & Directions


4 Single; uncooked pie crusts
1 c Cooking oil
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1 c Molasses
3 c Flour
1 ts Baking soda
1 c Lukewarm water
1 c Flour
1/2 c Sugar
1/4 c Butter; melted

Prepare pie crusts and fit in four pie pans.

Mix the oil, 1 cup sugar, eggs, molasses, 3 cups flour, baking soda, and
water. Pour into pie crusts.

Mix the 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and butter. Sprinkle this mixture onto
top of molasses mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees until firm and brown (about 35 minutes or until the top
cracks).
