2 Egg whites; or substitute
2/3 c Nonfat milk; or nonfat soy

1/3 c Corn syrup; dark
1 ts Vanilla
MAPLE FROSTING
1/4 c Butter or margarine
2 1/4 c Powdered sugar
2 tb Milk
3/4 ts Maple extract

In a med. bowl, combine dry ingredients. In a sm. bowl, using a fork or
wire whisk, mix egg whites or substitute, milk, corn syrup and vanilla. Add
to flour mixture; stir until smooth. Pour into a sprayed 9″ sq. pan and
bake in a 350 deg F oven 25 – 30 min, or until a toothpick inserted in
center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. Serving Ideas
: Serve with applesauce.

Sodium 92 mg, Dietary Fiber 1 g, CFF 1.8%.
Maple Frosting: Cream butter; gradually add 1 cup powdered sugar, beating
well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add remaining sugar alternately
with milk, beating until smooth enough to spread. Add maple extract, and
beat well. Yield: about 1 cup.
