Chocolate Chip Cookies1

Ingrients & Directions


2/3 c Soft shortening, part butter
1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Brown sugar, packed
1 Egg
1 1/2 c Flour
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Nuts, chopped, optional
6 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cream shortening, sugar, brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Combine dry
ingredients in separate bowl. Add to shortening mixture. Beat well.
Add chocolate chips and chopped nuts and stir in gently. Add 1
teaspoon water or more to make soft dough. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto
prepared cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes, or
until done. Makes about 5 dozen cookies only if their small:) From:
