Cottage Cheese Cookies

Ingrients & Directions


2 c Shortening
1 3/4 c Brown sugar
1 3/4 c Sugar
4 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
1 pt Cottage cheese (small curd)
1 c Nuts; chopped
5 1/2 c Flour
1 c Baking cocoa
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Baking powder

Cream together the first four ingredients Add vanilla and cottage cheese
Add sifted flour, cocoa, soda and powder and mix well Add nuts Refrigerate
for a few hours or overnight Roll dough into balls about the size of
walnuts and bake on greased cookie sheets about 2″ apart at 350 degrees for
around 15 minutes Roll them in powdered sugar while still warm.
