Crisp Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingrients & Directions


1 c Butter
1 c Creamy or chunky style
-peanut butter
1 c Sugar
1 c Brown sugar; firmly packed
2 Eggs; beaten
1 ts Vanilla
2 1/2 c Sifted flour
1 ts Baking powder
1 ts Soda
1 ts Salt

Stir together butter, peanut butter and sugars until blended. Beat in eggs
and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt over sugar
mixture. Stir until blended. If necessary, chill dough until it can be
easily handled. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place about 2 inches apart on
greased baking sheet. Flatten with floured bottom of glass or with floured
fork making crosswise pattern. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until
lightly browned. Makes 5 dozen.
