1 c All purpose flour
1 c Whole wheat flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Margarine
1/2 c Brown sugar
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla
1. In a small bowl combine flours, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.
2. In a large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat margarine and
brown sugar until well blended. Beat in egg and vanilla. With mixer
at low speed, gradually beat in flour mixture until well blended. 3.
Wrap dough in plastic wrap or waxed paper; refrigerate at least 1
hour. 4. On floured pastry clothy with floured rolling pin, roll out
dough, 1/3 at a time, to 1/8 inch thickness. Dip heart cookie
cutters into flour. 5. Place cookies on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake
in preheated 350 degree according to the following times or until
lightly browned around edges. 6. Remove and cool on wire rack.
Decorate as desired.
