Crunchy Fudge Sandwiches

Ingrients & Directions


6 oz Butterscotch morsels
1/2 c Peanut butter; chunky
4 c Puffed rice cereal
6 oz Semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c Sifted powdered sugar
2 tb Margarine
1 tb Water

In large saucepan, combine butterscotch morsels and peanut butter;
heat until morsels melt and mixture is smooth. Add Rice Crispies;
stir until well coated with butterscotch mixture. Press half cereal
mixture into buttered 8″ square baking pan. Chill in refrigerator
while preparing fudge mixture. Set remaining cereal mixture aside.

In double boiler, or in microwaveable dish, combine chocolate morsels,
sugar, butter and water. Stir until morsels melt and mixture is
smooth. Spread over refrigerated cereal mixture and cool. Spread
remaining cereal mixture evenly over top of cooled fudge mixture.
Press gently . Chill in regrigerator until firm (about 1 hr). Cut
into 1-1/2″ squares.
