6 c Apples; peeled & thinly
Sliced
4 T Lemon juice
1 c Sugar
2 T Flour
1 t Cinnamon
1 ds Nutmeg
Soak apples in a solution of water and lemon juice. Combine the
remaining ingredients. Drain the apples and mix with the sugar
mixture. Fill a pastry lined pie plate, dot with butter, and adjust
top crust. Seal and flute edge and sprinkle with sugar. Cover edge of
pie with foil. Bake in a 375 oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil and
continue baking for 20 – 25 minutes.
